This last week, my husband and I were eating outside at Sabai when someone visiting from out of town stopped as they walked by and asked, "Is this place good?" I tried a variety of ways to tell them yes; how authentic and consistently delicious the food is, how great the service is, and how it's one of the only places downtown where you can get a reliably fantastic meal on a budget. They still seemed unconvinced, so I told them the simple truth: we've eaten here about once a week for the last five years. That got me thinking about all of the special occasions we've celebrated here, the date nights we've enjoyed, and the comfort food we've relied on during busy weeknights when we haven't had the time or energy to cook. If you want a five-star meal that's less than half the price of other places in town that claim the same, in a restaurant that will treat you like family, this is the place.

We had been driving over 7 hours and needed a lunch stop. The reviews here looked great so we detoured. We got the Tofu Triangles, the Pork Spring Rolls, the Shrimp Rolls, the Chicken Satay, the Fresh Basil Rolls, the Son Tum, the Basil Fried Rice, and the Pad Thai. We enjoyed the fried stuff. They were crispy, but not heavy. The Basil Fried Rice was good. I really liked the dish. The Pad Thai was familiar in taste. My wife enjoyed the Son Tum and the Fresh Basil Rolls. Both used very fresh ingredients and made the dishes shined. We did notice SaBai favors a sweeter theme. All the dishes tend to be on the sweeter side.

I love Thai food and SaBai just became our favorite Thai restaurant. Not only is the food great, but the restaurant is nicely decorated and the service is excellent. Definitely recommend the dumplings as an appetizer. All the entrees are delicious.

I had a really nice meal at SaBai Thai with a friend. The Thai tea was exceptional, freshly brewed and easily one of the highlights of the meal. We started with the fried wontons. They were a little over-fried, but the filling itself was very tasty. For entrees, the green curry was excellent with a great depth of flavor and the perfect level of spice. The pad Thai leaned a bit on the dry side, but I still appreciated the flavor. Overall it was a great experience and the food was enjoyable. The only downside was sitting outside where two teenagers at the nearby ice cream shop tables were staring at us and handing out candy to people walking by, which felt a little uncomfortable. Aside from that, the meal itself was very good.

We love SaBai so much. The food is truly authentic, and the staff are amazing. Chef Pam is incredible. We absolutely love her cooking. Rin, our lovely waitress, always takes such great care of us. She makes us feel so welcome and provides excellent service every time. We come back to eat here very often. Our favorites are the Som Tum, Larb, Suki, Chicken Wings, Pad Thai, curries and many more etc. And of course, the Thai tea and mango sticky rice are absolutely delicious. We love this place! Super duper highly recommend!
